Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company is a global organization deeply rooted in providing trusted, quality workwear at an unmatched value. My family started this company in 1922 with a single goal in mind: to meet the needs of a growing American workforce by making superior, durable workwear at an affordable price, with a satisfaction guarantee to our customers. Our commitment to our customers is something from which we will never waiver.
Williamson-Dickie has evolved through the years – from its initial inception as the U.S. Overall Company to its role in supplying U.S. military uniforms in World War II and to the development of the iconic Original 874® Work Pant. We were among the first companies to utilize consumer research in product development, resulting in the creation of back-facing side seams on blue jeans (today’s denim industry standard). We initiated the use of zippers in work pants. We invented the permanent press process. We conceptualized the cell phone pocket on pants. Our company now encompasses a vast assortment of men’s, women’s and kids’ apparel, footwear and licensed goods available in more than 100 countries globally. We represent the top names in performance workwear – Dickies®, Van Moer, Kodiak®, Terra® and Workrite®.
At our core, we remain the same family-owned company we’ve always been, dedicated to providing our customers with innovative, lasting work apparel for any and all needs. Look around and I’m sure you’ll see the Dickies logo proudly displayed on workers from all walks of life – farmers, plumbers, roughnecks, truck drivers, waitstaff, nurses, electricians, construction crews, mechanics, musicians, bike messengers...the list goes on. We’re proud to be a part of each and every worker’s life, day in and day out. It’s the legacy left to us by previous generations, the present we take pride in on a daily basis, and the foundation we build for future generations.
We work diligently to preserve our iconic product lines while also developing on-trend, relevant styles for today’s workers. We understand the nuances of fit, function and style amongst the broad spectrum of consumers that wear our apparel and footwear. We know that value means not only offering consumers a good price, but a quality product as well.
I’m excited by the many possibilities the future holds and look forward to seeing the entire Williamson-Dickie family embrace those opportunities. Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company is a constant in an evolving world. We respect our roots, we know who we are, and we will continue to deliver high quality workwear and accessories to workers around the world.
